Howdy folks

The MP3s available for download on this blog are from collections of western swing 78s and Radio Transcriptions donated by a small group of devoted collectors. Our main purpose is to share and introduce to others this great and mostly unknown music. Here at WS on 78 we try not to post music that's available for purchase. So please don't request any CDs. And please support the Western Swing music labels by purchasing their CDs.
All downloads are free and compiled as ZIP or RAR files and need to extracted with Winzip, Winrar or any similar software.

That would be great. I could use the help sometimes. I just didn't have anything for art and no time to make anything this time. But which anonymous are you?? ;-)

Hey! One of those Bob Wills songs is the one from The Simpsons! I always wondered who that was. Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Great Christmas-y post! However, the Pee Wee King track is not "Rootin Tootin Santa Claus" :)

Hey HFN,

Here is a quick and dirty cover. If I spent a few days on it, or even a few hours, I'm sure I could come up with something better. I hope it doesn't look too dark on other computers. I can always lighten it up.

Here's a link (400 pixel version) (I have a 600 pixel version too):

I love it, but it sounds like a few songs cut off at the end. Great collection though

I just brought tears to my husbands eyes! My husband has an unnatural love for christmas songs. He also loves Bob Wills. As long as we've been together we have searched for what he has always called simply "The Holy Grail". It is the purpose of every yard sale and thrift shop trip.
Every year at christmas I spend hours on the phone and on the internet searching for a Bob Wills Christmas album. Every year I get closer and closer but every time I've tried to get these songs they are out of print or I lose on an e-bay auction in the last minutes. This year I started early and .....HOLY COW! You have just given me the Holy Grail!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't thank you enough! I just walked down stairs and plugged in my Ipod. You should have seen his face!
