Great shows, thanks!
Regards
Great stuff. Couple of problems. "The Cowboy Hit Parade" isn't. Listen a little longer and you'll find it's a live show with Cliffie, Travis, Kirk and others. Second problem, Western Stars (KFWB, Sept. 10, 1946) download is the same as Rhythm Ranch (KFI, Jan. 10, 1948). All that aside, this is wonderful stuff. Radio live 60-64 years ago. Wonderful finds. Thank you. df
The Sep 10 1946 link takes you to the Jan 10 1948 file, sorry to say.
A great post, thanks so much !
Man, what wouldn't you give to be at any of those shows back then? Or even listening at home live, on the radio?
Hey, the western stars link produces the Rhythm ranch download! Thanks for them, though!
Hey, I thought you specialized in old stuff. Some of these are brand new . . . well, from the year I was born, so they're at least NOT OLD!
Hi Folks, Just fixed the link to the first download and also added the artist list to the Cowboy Hit Parade (KRKD, June 4, 1948) show.
It is so nice to here Cliffie count down the top five, it brings to light just how big Arnold and Williams were at the time.
Fantastic shows!
Thanks Al, thans Wolf
This is a gold mine to me. Many years ago I did a lot of shows with Cliffie in several different venues. He always brought real talent with him and always delivered a great show. He was also always a gentleman and a great guy to work with. There were not many like him.
I love old time radio shows and I especially love anything Cliffie was involved in. Thanks so much to you & HillBillyWolf for making these available.
Possibly more Cliffie Stone.
