thanks so much for all the wonderful music. what a delight to find this website. You might be surprised how many college students love this.
Dear Berkeley UC:
You're right -- this site is a real treasure. One of the best ones on the web!
Be careful -- western swing is infectious. I caught it in college, too, and still have it 40 years later, stronger than ever. Even my three-year-old granddaughter requests Bob Wills.
If you haven't already sampled the long, long list down the left side of the page, get busy! You pretty much can't go wrong.
I just wanted to say... thank you!
been lurking around here for some time and just wanted to say how much I enjoy these records with all the flaws - Hiss, Crackle, and clicks.
My grandfather listened to Western Swing when alot of these tracks were new. I inherited my grandparents record collection and have some of the 78's featured on this site. However, the copies you have here sound much better than the ones I have due in part that they are worn out.
Many thanks for your efforts and maintaining this site.
Great! Thanks!!
