Sample Song - Joe Werner "She's My Flapper & My Baby"
In the early days of Cajun music Western Swing and Cajun were kissing cousins. Many bands like the Hackberry Ramblers" and "Happy Fats & His Rainbow Ramblers" played and recorded both styles of music. Some folks called the music Cajun Swing. Through the years though both styles of music evolved and became more distinct from each other. I was happy to find that there are a couple of groups today are bringing back to life that wonderful sound Cajun Swing, namely The Red Stick ramblers , and The Lost Bayou Ramblers .
