Visit WesternSwing.com for CD/ DVD Listings and Western Swing related links and help support the small labels who devote themselves to producing western swing music.
The MP3s available for download on this blog are from collections of western swing 78s and Radio Transcriptions donated by a small group of devoted collectors. Our main purpose is to share and introduce to others this great and mostly unknown music. Here at WS on 78 we try not to post music that's available for purchase. So please don't request any CDs. And please support the Western Swing music labels by purchasing their CDs. All downloads are free and compiled as ZIP or RAR files and need to extracted with Winzip, Winrar or any similar software.
Here are 7 more Joaquin Murphey songs to add to your collections. Donated by WS on 78 friend Erik van B.
Thank you Erik!

Hello all, we need help with any info on Arizona Joe. Joe lived in the northwest and broadcast in the late 30's and 40's. He recorded 100 plus songs on transcriptions, labeled KOL Radio (Seattle pioneer station), but were probably recorded at MacGregor (sic). Saw an obituary thirty years ago, did not save it, and it have never found reference again. It was in the Tacoma News Tribune. There appear to be three known photos, all at KOL AM radio studio, but only his moniker, not his name. Anyone know his real name? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Sample song - Harmie Smith - Tomorrow Begins Another Year
